Claire was born and raised in South Korea and has also lived in Ireland and the United States. Since moving to Victoria, she has been actively involved in many community organizations. She is the founder of the Victoria Korean Canadian Women’s Association and has been its president since its inception in 2012. She was also the President of the Victoria Korean Society from 2007-2009 and a member of the Rotary Club of Saanich from 2001-2007. Her position as a leader in the Korean community has been an important part of her life and she enjoys helping new residents navigate a future for themselves and their families.
