I proudly became a true islander and settled with my family in the beautiful Cowichan Valley, one of my most favorite places in the world.My parents instilled an appreciation for family, nature, community, and that you could achieve any goal with hard work & determination. My father began his life in a farm family, operating various small businesses; he enlisted in WWII under-age so he could fight for our country, he came back wounded but never gave up. My mother was born in small-town Alberta raised on a farm with 10 siblings. Together they had five girls with me as the youngest. We were raised in a typical middle-class Canadian community. Both of my parents were hard-working and focused on providing their children with a quality family life. Their love & guidance shaped my belief structure to set goals, work hard, be fair, and honest, give back to the community, and live life to the fullest.
I am a graduate of the Westerra Institute of Technology (now part of NAIT) in the Computer Publishing & Systems Management Program and later Web Applications Development at Computer Master in Victoria. After graduation from Westerra, I had the opportunity to work for over 10 years in the print publishing industry working my way up to one of the largest print shops in Edmonton at Quebecor. After moving to the island and completing my web application program I started my own business building small business websites. With that experience, I had the opportunity to develop strong marketing, sales, business management, and communication skills. My passion for providing exceptional service in an upscale environment for my clients naturally carried over as my desire to focus on the real estate industry began to unfold.
