About Me, Shannon Norris

Hey, I'm Shannon. I specialize in providing a comfortable, personable and step-by-step service to people who are looking to buy a home here on Vancouver Island. I am a Specialized Buyer's Agent in the Duncan Area, Town of Ladysmith and Nanaimo Region. I work with both rural and urban properties and have specialized training when dealing with strata homes. In 2018 achieved the Top 10% Sales Leader Award and the #2 New Agent. My years of experience and positive customer feedback keep motivating me to help people find their dream home.

I knows and love Vancouver Island. 

Before real estate I worked in government in a community development and customer service capacity. I also put in my fair share of years as a waitress, which paid my way through university. I received a bachelors in Tourism Management and finished with honors. 

I am always looking to take on new clients. I welcome all demographics. I really enjoy working with first time and experienced home buyers. I hired Shannon Norris as my REALTOR® because she was a friend. This had to be the best decision I could have made. Right from day one she was great. My husband and I weren't in a huge rush to sell our current home and buy a new one but we knew that with our growing family it would need to happen in the near future. Both of us never felt pressured by Shannon to buy right away. We looked at many houses and Shannon was great. She gave feedback on what she thought was good for our family in each place, and advised us about anything that we might want to have looked at before buying. Moving from California to Vancouver Island is no easy feat. We had the unique opportunity to be connected to Shannon through another real estate agent in Comox... During our island house hunt we also had an unfortunate accident that laid one of us up in the hospital for weeks. With everything turned upside down in mid house hunt and only a couple of days to look before heading back to the US, we decided to contact Shannon to see what she could show us. Shannon was Amazing. Available literally on the spot and flexible to everything we needed. We had a list of homes we had targeted and she was able to get us into view them with one day notice. Her enthusiasm is contagious and she spent a lot of time explaining not only the details of each house but the area and we could expect with living on the island. When we found our home we sprang into action and I literally made the deal at the airport while I was commuting back to California. It was such an easy process and once Shannon took over it was just a matter of sitting back while she made sure everything was taken care of. That is exactly what we needed. Her attention to detail was integral to us. We were familiar with the US real estate market but the Canadian market was very different. She was patient but always kept us on tract and when we finally walked into our new home she graciously left us with a wonderful gift basket with a refreshing bottle of wine and other fun goodies. It was a welcoming experience to our new life and to this day she still offer to come by and help us... I highly recommend Shannon to anyone who is looking for a home North of the Malahat. She is fun, bright and loves what she does. You won't be disappointed!
