With nearly two decades of living on Salt Spring Island, Erin has deep ties to this community and an understanding of the rewards and challenges of making a life here.  Through her years working at the Credit Union she gained experiences with mortgages, lending and mutual funds management.  Erin has also worked as management in the service and hospitality industry, so is adept at working with people at the team level.

Erin has plenty of experience running home based businesses, providing her with connections to the farming, construction, Saturday Market and yoga communities,.  As a mother of four Erin has been involved with two of the three elementary schools on the Island, and had her eldest three move through the Salt Spring Island Middle School and graduate from Gulf Islands Secondary School.  She has volunteer experience as an executive of the Salt Spring Youth Soccer Association, as well as being an active executive member of the Board of the Salt Spring Cooperative Preschool, effectively bringing it into the black with a reserve building fund after years of running in deficit.
